Q. How do I submit items or events for inclusion in the Calendar?
A. Meeting announcements from nonprofit organizations will be considered for publication in the Journal of the National Medical Association free of charge if the following information is included:
· Date, title and location of meeting
· Sponsoring group
· Topics presented
· Whether or not commercial exhibits are held
· Number of CME credit hours
· Registration fees
· Contact person, address, telephone and fax numbers, email address
Important notices pertaining to awards, certification, examinations and grants and other announcements deemed appropriate by the Editor will also be considered for publication. These should not exceed 200 words.
All announcements must be submitted at least four months before the meeting date or notice deadline and will be published no later than the issue of the month preceding the meeting or notice deadline. Notices and announcements are subject to editorial review and editing and should be pertinent to practice and clinical issues affecting African-American physicians and the patients they serve.
