National Medical Association exists since 1895 and executive officers of Region IV participate in various activities.
There are many important questions that have to be addressed such as thoracic spine pain
or updated oncology definition.
Among recent elected Region IV officers one should mention Arthur Fleming, Medical Doctor who is based in Los
Angeles CA as Emeritus Professor of Surgery at Charles Drew University. Professor Fleming is an expert in the
American healthcare system and will inform region physicians informed about future prospects affecting patients
services and local medical facilities including the access to brain natriuretic peptide test.
Region VI Vice-Chair is Dr Freeman who is a Geriatric Psychiatrist serving Los Angeles. Dr Freeman will optimize National Medical Association member participation in organizational issues, adult educaton and development of leadership skills. Mrs. Freeman aims to increase cooperatioon between state and local organizations and to seek strategic partner institutions for cooperation. One of the former Presidents of the Sinkler Miller Medical Society - Glenda Newell - joins Region IV NMA as a new Secretary. As a certified internist she is a Director of a community health clinic in the Bay where CO Bigelow products are becoming more and more popular. Finally, Guthrie Turner is a new Treasurer working from Steilacoom Washington. Dr Turner is a Medical Consultant working for the Social Security Administration disability program. NMA member remember Dr Turner as a former treasurer of the NMA and also a former General Officer. Mrs Turner plans to increase membership through improved fiscal principles in order to better accomplish NMA objectives. It is important that NMA Treasurer is available to members atany time. |
