Arthur Fleming, M.D., Chair, based in Los Angeles, Calif. practicing Surgeon. Dr. Fleming brings his breadth of knowledge of the healthcare system to help keep our physician membership informed and involved with the key issues impacting our local healthcare facilities and the patients they serve.

C. Freeman, M.D., MBA, Region VI Vice-Chair, is a Geriatric Psychiatrist practicing in the Los Angeles area. As Vice-Chair, Dr. Freeman seeks to utilize her skills in organizational behavior, program implementation, adult education, and leadership development to optimize NMA member participation. Her commitment is to increasing the cohesion between local and state societies as well as fortifying strategic alliances with complementary organizations and institutions with whom to collude.

Glenda Newell, M.D., Secretary, is the Immediate Past President of one of the largest societies in this region, The Sinkler Miller Medical Society. She is a board certified internist who serves as Medical Director of a community health clinic in the Bay Area.

Guthrie L. Turner, Jr M.D., M.P.H., M.B.A., Treasurer, based in Steilacoom, Washington works as a Medical Consultant for the Social Security Administration's Disability Program. Dr. Turner, a retired General Officer and former Treasurer of the NMA, will actively work with the Region, Society and local officers to accomplish program objectives and increase membership using prudent fiscal management principles. The Treasurer will be available to the membership at all times.
